Patience. Lots of patience needed.
Baseball as I’m sure many of you know is boring. very boring. especially if you’re photographing it. You set up to snap a shot pitch after pitch hoping for something: a hit, a hit batsman, a cleat to someone balls on a slide, but rarely do you bear witness to said events. Instead you get a swing and a miss, or a ball, or the batter calling timeout to rearrange his 1-1 count (ok not such a good analogy for balls but i tried) anyway i shot these at a game today.

Funny name; Serious Business
I was fortunate enough to attend my first rally for a presidential candidate and i gotta say it was a good time. Barack seems like a decent guy. his staff let me steal a bottle of water from under the stage while i was taking pictures so thats cool. he’ll win votes by hydrating americans, then the world. good sound policy if you ask me. Vote Obama… maybe.

Big Ass Ship Plus Seagulls is not really interesting at all
So this morning i had to go down to Penn’s Landing to photograph a big ass navy ship coming into port. I thought it would be much more interesting but it turns out i was quite wrong. I just sat waiting… waiting… waiting… for what felt like hours for this oversized dingy to approach. All i could hope for what for this ship to accidently fire its very large and most dangerous guns and blow up the ride the ducks boat. man that would surely appease my soul. ( for those of you who don’t know, prior to actually getting a real job as a photographer I served as the ride the ducks souveneir photo guy. just another chapter in my storied past.) well this is one of the only photos i can bear to look at or work on besides a friendly little lady bug i shot that happened to land nearby. enjoy.
